Searching for a breakfast drink which is perfect to help you get all the nutrients required a day? Well then here it is! Blueberry - yogurt smoothie! Blueberry is rich in antioxidants and vitamins. Food rich in antioxidants should be taken everyday to maintain a good heart and overall health in this busy pace of life. Yogurt and milk, both help to boost up our bone health as they are rich in calcium and also has the protein which helps the body to function properly. So do try this out. Both you and your kids will love it!
Method:
Ingredients:
- Blueberries........................................................................1/2 cup
- Blueberry flavoured yogurt(frozen).................................... 1 cup (I used Activa lite)
- Sugar................................................................................. 2 tsp
- Cold Milk...........................................................................1/2 cup
- Vanilla essence................................................................. 2 drops (optional)
Method:
- Add sugar and blend blueberries in a blender to get a smooth paste
- Next add the yogurt and give it a blend for 1min.
- Follow with milk (and Vanilla essence, if using) and give a quick final blend to incorporate the flavours equally.
- Serve cold.
- You can substitute the flavored yogurt with plain yogurt.
- Sugar-you can avoid it!
- If topped with a scoop of blueberry ice cream, it tastes heavenly(not for weight watchers though:))
